Dr. Jennifer Steelesmith
Dr. Jennifer Steelesmith grew up in the south towns of Buffalo, New York. Her passion for animals started early, and after volunteering in several local veterinary clinics she knew she wanted a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Jenny graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 and has been caring for central Ohio pets ever since.
She worked at Groveport Canal Animal Hospital beginning in 2016 and, in 2022, she and her husband purchased both Groveport Canal Animal Hospital and Easton Animal Hospital. Dr. Jenny enjoys building long lasting relationships with clients and helping families provide the best possible care for their pets.
She and her husband have two children, a cat named S'mores, and a tortoise named Furious Prime.
Dr. Peter Olson
A career OSU student, Dr. Olson graduated with a B.S. in zoology in 2002, and from the OSU School of Veterinary Medicine in June, 2007.
He worked for Dr. Land during undergraduate and veterinary school, since 2000. His hobbies include kayaking with his wife, attending sporting events (Go Bucks and Crew!), movies, and movie trivia.
Dr. Rachel Lansberry
Dr. Rachel Lansberry grew up in Fishers, Indiana, where her passion for veterinary medicine first began. While working at her hometown veterinary clinic, she witnessed the strong team dynamic between veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners. Seeing how each person played a vital role in the well-being of animals sparked her commitment to pursuing a career in veterinary care. Dr. Lansberry earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Purdue University in 2020, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue in 2024. After graduation, Dr. Lansberry returned to her hometown clinic, where she spent a year providing care to the pets and families who first shaped her love for the profession. After that year, she moved to the Columbus area with her husband and their dog, Chance, where she is excited to continue serving pets and their families. Outside of the practice, Dr. Lansberry enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves watching horror movies, playing video games, and attending concerts.
Dr. Rebecca Land
Dr. Rebecca Land was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She is the daughter of Drs. Rona Shapiro and Alec Land. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Dayton and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Land has a passion for fostering the human-animal bond and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.
In her time away from the hospital, Dr. Land enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her friends, family, and yellow lab named Theodore.
LaSha Wheeland, RVT
LaSha Wheeland, RVT, has served as Practice Manager at Easton Animal Hospital since 2024 and brings more than 20 years of dedicated experience with the hospital. A Registered Veterinary Technician, LaSha combines deep clinical knowledge with strong leadership and operational expertise. Her long standing commitment to patient care, team development, and client service helps ensure a smooth, compassionate, and high quality experience for both pets and their families.
Lilia Rogers
Lilia Rogers is the Office Coordinator at Easton Animal Hospital and plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. She manages the hospital’s social media accounts and helps maintain strong communication with clients and the community. With her experience as a veterinary assistant, Lilia brings practical clinical knowledge along with strong organizational and customer service skills to support both the medical team and pet owners.
Dr. Rona Shapiro and Dr. Alec Land- Founding Veterinarians
Easton Animal Hospital is proud to recognize the lasting contributions of Dr. Rona Shapiro and Dr. Alec Land, two longtime veterinary leaders whose work helped shape the standard of care that continues to guide our hospital today. Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Land practiced with our team for many years, and together they also founded MedVet Diley, an emergency and specialty hospital that has served pets throughout central Ohio.
Dr. Shapiro grew up in Maryland and earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Maryland in 1979. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Biochemistry before graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Her clinical interests included internal medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Shapiro is now retired, and her dedication to thoughtful, compassionate patient care continues to inspire our team.
Dr. Land grew up in the Cleveland area and developed a lifelong passion for animals while exploring the woods near his home. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from The College of Wooster, his Master of Science in Zoology from Miami University, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1985. His professional interests have focused on advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Land is now semi retired and continues to practice part time at MedVet Diley.
Their shared commitment to excellent medicine and genuine care for pets and families remains an important part of the foundation of Easton Animal Hospital.
