Community Involvement in Columbus, OH
At Easton Animal Hospital, we’re big on community involvement, and our love for the Columbus community is evident in all the things we do to support the animals and people who share it with us. We’re extremely thankful for the trust and appreciation we receive from our clients and patients, but we always make an effort to do more whenever we can.
Some of the Work We've Done
We do what we can to benefit pets and humans alike. Below are just some of the events and activities we've participated in to help others.
We have sponsored Faithful Forgotten Best Friends, a rescue group that provides food and medical care for homeless and underprivileged pets in the community. The bath-a-thon includes a shampoo bath, ear cleaning, and nail trim. All proceeds go to Faithful Forgotten Best Friends.
Our bake sale allowed us to help match homeless animals with veterans, police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. Pets for Heroes adopts the pets from the shelter, provides medical attention, and trains the pets for the veteran or first responder they’ll be partnering with.
We sold bow ties, flower baskets, and flower adornments for pets and all proceeds went towards the Columbus House Rabbit Society and other organizations.
100% of all proceeds from our nail trim event went to charity.
We participated in a food drive to benefit the Ohio Animal Foundation to help raise awareness and “Tackle Pet Hunger.” In 2020, we did not help with the food drive but were able to provide a monetary donation in support of the organization.
Our November bake sale offered human and pet-friendly treats to benefit a local no-kill shelter.
For our “I Believe in Santa Paws” event, we have teams getting together to bake pet-friendly treats to deliver to local dog shelters during the month of December. The goal of this event is to bring much-needed attention to all the animals still waiting in shelters for their forever families.
